Kahite’s United Way October campaign enjoyed another successful outcome.
With a focus on participation vs. dollar amounts, donations were received from nearly half of Kahite’s 600 generous homeowners.
Mid-month, the Kahite UW Team hosted a Resident Appreciation Night, where over 200 neighbors gathered to enjoy a free hot dog dinner — a heartfelt thank-you for their support.
More than $43,000 was raised to benefit the 15 agencies supported by United Way of Monroe County.
UWMC is unique in that over 99% of all donations go directly to supported agencies. That is possible because UWMC owns its own building, and rent revenue covers all general and administrative costs.
Committee members include Debbie & Roger Calendine, Diane & Bruce Christopher, Maxine & Paul Fischer, Patrick Ford, Judy & Jonathan Heard, Winnie Okumura, Anne & Dick Parkhill, Susan & Tom Sexton, Melanie Slouka, Candy & Bill Swarthout, and Bonnie & Don Wood.
