Swarms of rock fans and concertgoers are expected to migrate into East Tennessee, and more specifically Loudon County, this weekend for the “Rock the Country” music festival.

The two-day event on April 25 and 26 is projected to bring in up to 25,000 people to the area, according to Loudon County Chamber of Commerce President Rodney Grugin.

All main stages for the event will be located at Maple Lane Farms in Greenback.

KID ROCK FESTIVAL’S HEADLINER

The touring festival was originally established in 2011, though this year is the group’s first-ever stop in Loudon County.

Having just left Livingston, Louisiana, they’ll be rolling through Ocala, Florida; York, Pennsylvania; Hastings, Michigan; Little Rock, Arkansas; Ashland, Kentucky; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Anderson, South Carolina from now until July.

“It’s this simple, ‘Rock The Country’ isn’t just a music festival, it’s a movement.” said Kid Rock, the festival’s headliner. “It’s a place for hard working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music and the Party of the Year.”

Peachtree Entertainment, the festival’s coordinator, is also collaborating with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational opportunities in the form of scholarships to children of fallen and disabled military veterans … as well as first responders.

Additional donations can be made at your point of purchase.

The festival is also showcasing a new giveaway this year called the Hometown Hero campaign. Residents of each venue can nominate exceptional public servants in their community, entering them in a chance to win a VIP experience.

Some of those amenities include backstage passes, and maybe even a chance to lead the Pledge of Allegiance on stage.
