Our PLACE participants recently enjoyed a “Gorgeous Grandma Celebration,” created by Activities Manager Amanda Yanni.
The day started with a reading of the book “I Love My Glam-Ma!” by Samantha Berger to set the tone for the day. The participants were treated to hair and make-up appointments by Rachel Vogel and given beauty goodie bags.
The ladies were all dressed in their “Sunday best” outfits, accented by pearl necklaces and bracelets.
Amy Sullivan took photos of all the men and women, which will be shared with their families. The Catering Connection of Sweetwater provided an amazing lunch, a release stated.
“We send our heartfelt thanks to all who donated their services to create such an outstanding activity,” the release continued. “It was an incredible day of fun and ‘Moments of Joy’ — feeling beautiful, handsome, valued and celebrating the self-worth and dignity of each participant.”
