Three cats need new homes
Catness is the featured pet of the week up for adoption at Monroe County Animal Shelter.
She is a dark tortoiseshell that has already been spayed. She is 1 or 2 years old with orange eyes. She seems shy when meeting new people but is friendly, and she likes to play with toys.
Other cats up for adoption include Gaylord, a neutered, white and gray tabby with a stub tail, and Agatha, a white and orange tabby with orange eyes and a pink nose.
Needs at the shelter this week include clumping and scoopable litter, along with the ongoing need for paper towels and bleach.
Animal control is administered through the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. To report cases of stray animals, potential animal endangerment or neglect, call 423-442-3911.
Visit the shelter 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays at 170 Kefauver Lane in Madisonville behind Walmart. The shelter is closed to the public on Sunday and Monday. For more information, call 423-442-1015.
