Girl Scout Fiona Smith from Troop 20034 is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award.
Gail Yook, a Girl Scout alumnus who volunteers at the Good Neighbors Shoppe in Lenoir City, Tenn., was happy to assist with the project.
Fiona is addressing Literacy Challenges to under-served children by creating new life in the Library at Wesley House.
Boxes of new and gently used children’s books were donated to Fiona for her Gold Award project.
“This is a great example of Helen Keller’s quote: ‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,’” a press release stated.
