Country musician Tyson Leamon and his band will take the stage Sunday at the Tellico Village Yacht Club as part of the Elite Tunes Series.
The concert series brings performers to the area while raising money for local charities. Proceeds from Sunday’s concert will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
“We bring in nationally known and internationally known talent,” said Lee Brockman, founder and president of Elite Tunes Series. “You can’t typically see them in our community. Generally speaking, you would have to go to Nashville, Atlanta or farther to see these acts.”
Brockman and his wife, Barbara, founded the organization in spring 2023 and held their first concert that October.
Country singer Ashley Brooks was originally scheduled to perform Sunday but withdrew from the show. Organizers selected the Tyson Leamon Band to take her place.
“He’s actually more accredited or accomplished than many of the artists we’ve had in the past,” Brockman said. “He has won a lot of awards.”
Leamon was named Best Solo Artist at Bowling Fest in Kentucky in 2019 and won a Tennessee Songwriters Week competition in 2022.
“As a finalist, he performed at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville,” Brockman said.
Leamon also received a Texas Country Music Association award in 2025 for his song “Who I Am,” according to information provided by Elite Tunes Series. Organizers said he received another Nashville-based country music award this year.
Brockman said Elite Tunes Series considers recommendations from the community when selecting performers.
“We take a lot of referrals from the community,” he said. “We send a scouting team to watch an artist live because we don’t hire anyone until we see them live first.”
Sunday’s performance will begin at 7 p.m. on the back lawn of the Tellico Village Yacht Club.
Tickets are $25 and are available through Eventbrite. (search Elite Tunes).
