LENOIR CITY, Tenn. — On Wednesday, March 18, new residents of the Tellico Village had lunch at Lenoir City’s Fork and Vine restaurant off Highway 321.
New Villager Event Coordinator Lisa Harris talked about the gathering at Fork and Vine and the benefits of having new residents of Tellico Village at the restaurant.
“It is a huge way to get people to meet one another,” Harris said. “We also want to try anything we can to support local businesses.”
In total, 16 New Villagers gathered with each other to have lunch. Newer residents of Tellico Village can be a part of New Villager events for the first two years of living in the area.
“I encourage everyone to sign up for New Villager events when they move here,” Harris stated. “We review all the upcoming events like this one during our monthly socials.
“It is such a great way to meet people.”
FORK AND VINE OWNER WILLIAM MCGARRY TALKS ABOUT HIS RESTAURANT, NEW ADDITIONS AND HOSTING VILLAGERS
Fork and Vine recently added some new items to its lunch menu that the New Villagers got to try on March 18.
The restaurant’s owner, William McGarry, talked about the recently altered lunch menu and new items being offered. These new items include uncommon “common” items like burgers and pizzas.
“We use Black Angus Beef for our burgers with American, Provolone, and Swiss cheeses,” McGarry told The Connection “We did all of this in order to build our lunch crowd a little more.”
An item that the owner is very excited about is the pizza burger. The entree is a bit of a secret but is available to guests who stop by.
McGarry also revealed that one thing the Fork and Vine does is make all of their food in house.
“We make our meatballs, sauces and pizza dough from scratch,” the restaurant owner stated.
VILLAGERS NEW AND OLD SUPPORT RESTAURANT
Fork and Vine is a common spot for those who live in Tellico Village and McGarry was also pleased with the new residents showing up.
“About 85% of our business probably comes from the Village,” McGarry said. “I talked to a couple of the New Villagers inside and they were super excited to be there.”
McGarry’s love of Tellico Village has led Fork and Vine to create a cocktail that will be named after it. … That will soon be available for guests of the restaurant to order.
With the restaurant being open for around a year now, McGarry appreciates all the guests who have stopped by to try the food in the Loudon County community … and beyond.
“We appreciate everyone that stops in here,” McGarry said. “We love the family feel and we love building relationships with our guests.”
