TELLICO VILLAGE, Tenn. — Upon the passing of former longtime Tellico Village resident Patsy Hamilton, she is remembered by her family for her dedication to helping women achieve their education.
Her family established a scholarship in memory of Hamilton to help women working toward a degree in nursing. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a woman chosen by the Patsy Hamilton Committee from Chapter T P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Hamilton was an active member of Chapter T P.E.O. Sisterhood. She worked tirelessly finding and interviewing women to help them receive P.C.E grants for their education.
