Shots fired at Baptist Hospital

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Police have issued a warrant for a man who they said fired shots at security officers outside Baptist East Hospital Thursday morning.

The Memphis Police Department said officers were called to the hospital just before 2:00 Thursday morning for a shots fired call. MPD said the officers were told that Baptist East security had responded to something going on in the parking lot when a man, who was later identified as Brandon Lark, fired shots at the security officers.

Police said no one was struck.

MPD said officers at the scene sent out a broadcast and Lark was arrested by the Horn Lake Police Department on a misdemeanor warrant out of Tunica.

Memphis Police said they have issued a warrant for Lark, charging him with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun. They said Lark is in custody in Mississippi and will be transferred to Memphis at a later date.
