Four Paws nears $120,000 in giving

Four Paws provides pet food to needy Loudon County families through the Good Samaritan Center in Lenoir City. Following are the totals for July:

• Dog chow delivered — 110, 18.5-pound bags totaling 2,405 pounds at a cost of $1,231.10.

• Cat chow delivered — 95, 6.3-pound bags totaling 599 pounds at a cost of $423.75.

• Total expense for the month was $1,654.85.

Following are totals since the organization began in September 2009:

• Bags of dog chow delivered — 89,118.

• Pounds of dog chow delivered — 177,509.

• Cost for dog chow — $83,865.89.

• Bags of cat chow delivered — 7,196.

• Pounds of cat chow delivered — 48,577.

• Cost for cat chow — $35,589.10

• Total cost of pet food — $119,454.99.

• Total pounds delivered — 226,086.

• Total bags delivered — 16,314.
