Kahite supports United Way

Nearly $40,000 was collected from Kahite residents for the Monroe County United Way campaign, which sets another community record. The Kahite effort ran during October and set a goal for participation. Donations were collected from nearly half of the community’s 580 residents. Campaign funds will be used to benefit the 13 agencies supported by MCUW. The Kahite UW team hosted an appreciation night to say ‘thank you’ and more than 200 meals featuring Benton hotdogs were served. Committee members involved in the campaign were Kathy and Mike Barrett, Debbie and Roger Calendine, Bruce Christopher, Maxine and Paul Fischer, Judy and Jonathan Heard, Anne and Dick Parkhill, Susan and Tom Sexton, Melanie Slouka, Candy and Bill Swarthout, and Bonnie and Don Wood.
