The Tellico Village Women’s Club, which is associated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, recently welcomed six new members to its ranks.
The club has been active recently with its prospective member coffee in January, the monthly Weekend Food for Kids program and its ongoing support for Crisis Center for Women-Immediate Vital Assistance Services. The group is also in the planning stages for its annual home tour in November.
The group’s international committee is working on a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser to help with their international projects, including the Kisima Child Care Academy in Kenya and Operation Smile. Members participated in the annual lakeshore cleanup earlier this month.
