Loudon County Education Foundation will hold its Secret Garden Tour 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. April 23, which will include visits to four private gardens in Loudon County. Tickets will include a midday luncheon, along with a demonstration presented by Neil Denton, University of Tennessee Extension agent in Knox County. All funds raised will go to benefit LCEF programs.

LCEF is looking for a garden in Tellico Village to be included on the tour. Volunteers will be on hand to lead the tour and make sure attendees stay in the garden area. A participating garden owner will receive a free spring clean-up and pruning from Nature by Design.

The foundation offers scholarships to students and grants to teachers, holds the annual Young Achievers award ceremony, offers an annual essay contest for grades 3-8 and facilitates funding for other programs for the city and county school systems.

Leadership Loudon County is also a part of the program package offered by LCEF.
