Spring and summer curriculum for Tellico Village University is now available at http://www.tvuniversity.org.

Jackie Curtiss will start the season off with a course in American history on The Gilded Age. A two-week course on travel photography will begin in March. Other topics for study will include “Macbeth,” nutrition, comparative world religions, national security, elder law and shoulder, back and neck pain.

Additional courses are planned for later in the spring and summer and will be announced online.

Last year, more than 400 Tellico Village residents attended a TVU course.

To register, go to the Contact Us page on the website. All information about course is provided, including background on the instructor, a description of the content, times, dates and locations of each course and information on tuition costs. Some courses are tuition-free; however, TVU accepts tax deductible donations to STAYinTV, the executive organization of TVU to help support the continuation of TVU and other STAYinTV programs.

TVU is a volunteer program in Tellico Village. Most courses are taught by Villagers who wish to share their area of expertise with other interested persons. A team of TVU class coordinators provides administrative assistance to each instructor and course. Each course is assigned to accommodate their personal schedules. Tom Kowalewski, TVU webmaster, also teaches computer application courses.

Villagers with expertise in a subject area may volunteer in the program by going to the Contact Us page.
