With the weather cooperating and our courses in great shape, May was a great month for golf rounds.

Even with one day of rain and a week of bad forecasts that scared many golfers away, there were nearly 9,900 rounds, which was within a couple hundred of an all-time record month in the Village. The new lower rate at 2 p.m. has increased rounds in June.

With this now our busiest time of the season, please do your best to keep up with the group ahead. Three strategies on the carts remind us to:

  • Watch everyone’s ball to save time looking.
  • Play ready golf to save time when others in your group are not ready to play.
  • Hit and sit to save time standing behind the cart.

Try these if you get behind. It’s like a busy two-lane road where the drivers behind are at your mercy. The strategies will work if all of us commit to keeping up with the group ahead.
