MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Shelby County Corrections Deputy has been charged with assault and relieved of duty, sources say.
According to court documents, James Webb was charged with misdemeanor assault on Thursday.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Webb, who has been a deputy with the sheriff's office since 2023, has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
