Anthony Rumbel, 21, of Tennessee, was arrested Wednesday in Cobb County, Georgia, following a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 75. Georgia State Patrol troopers spotted Rumbel driving southbound in a black Toyota Tundra near Chastain Road, weaving through traffic at high speeds.

When Rumbel refused to pull over, a trooper executed a PIT maneuver in Marietta to force the vehicle to a stop. Upon searching the truck, officers uncovered evidence linked to a homicide, and Rumbel was initially booked into the Cobb County Jail on charges stemming from the chase.

Rumbel was identified by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation as the suspect in the death of Michael Rumbel, 46, whose body was discovered Wednesday in Dunlap, Tennessee. TBI agents have since obtained an arrest warrant charging Anthony Rumbel with one count of criminal homicide.

He remains held in Georgia pending extradition to Tennessee. Authorities have not yet disclosed the relationship between the two men, the cause of death, or a potential motive.
