Eve, Mimi and Gidget are the featured pets of the week at Monroe County Animal Shelter.

Eve is a 4-year-old domestic short-haired mix with green eyes and black and orange fur. She is personable, likes to be picked up and is good with other cats. Eve was surrendered because her family moved away.

Mimi is a 1-year-old domestic short-haired mix with white and brindle fur and golden eyes. She was found wandering around an apartment complex. She loves to be picked up and is a joy to be around.

Gidget is a 1-year-old domestic short-haired mix with black fur and green eyes. She is calm and can be shy at first.

All animals adopted from the animal shelter are spayed or neutered, have age-appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped with registration. Cats are tested for the feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus, and dogs are tested for heart worms.

The Spay Neuter Assistance for Pets program offers free vouchers to qualifying families for a spay or neuter procedure at participating local veterinarians. Those in Loudon County can visit http://www.spaytennessee.org to find other options.
