Numerous Tellico Village Badminton Club members medaled during the recent Tennessee Senior Olympics finals in Franklin.
Ron Wendoloski won silver in the men’s singles 65-69 age division, while Dave Craig and Wendoloski won gold in the men’s doubles 65-69 division. Patty Malone and Wendoloski won gold in the mixed doubles 60-64 division.
These players have been involved in various training programs with the Tellico Village Badminton Club. Malone is the club’s training director. Wendoloski and Craig have participated in the training program.
Those who would like to get involved in the club may sign up for badminton orientation at Chota Recreation Center. Racquets are provided.
