The leadership of Tellico Village’s largest clubs has partnered to explore a new online membership and activity management system for Villagers.
TellicoLife is the brand name we have chosen to represent this capability for Tellico Village club and organization members.
In multiple surveys, Villagers have told clubs they want to be able to sign up for events online, pay for events online and manage membership profiles online.
With active lifestyles, many Villagers are members of multiple clubs and organizations, so rather than each club building its own individual web capability to meet online activity and membership management needs, we decided to work together to find one solution for the Village that is better than any one individual club or organization can afford.
The vision is to eventually have one place where you can know what’s happening in Tellico Village, sign up for events and activities of interest and manage membership for all clubs or organizations.
What is TellicoLife?
TellicoLife is hosting a new website using association management software. When fully implemented, it will provide one website and one online log-in to manage all club memberships and register for events offered by participating clubs or organizations.
The first clubs to participate in the exploratory program are the HOA, Tellico Village Computer Users Club, New Villagers, Neighborhood Watch and STAYinTV. The leadership of these clubs is working to design TellicoLife in a way that best serves the needs of Villagers, the community and club members.
By signing onto TellicoLife, members of the participating clubs may be able to do some or all of the following:
Join or renew annual memberships online.
Have one place to find out about events and activities offered by participating clubs.
View a consolidated calendar of events offered by participating clubs and receive reminders based on personal settings.
Register for club activities and events online.
Pay for membership, club activities and events online by check or credit card.
Make donations by check or credit card.
Manage a personal profile, including changing email or telephone number for all participating clubs at once.
TellicoLife is open to everyone. You will not need to register for TellicoLife to view the events and activities offered by participating clubs. That information will be available for all to see.
In order to sign up for an event on TellicoLife, you will need to register for TellicoLife and, in most cases, be a member of the club promoting the event. There is no fee to register on TellicoLife.
For those worried about losing the current club websites, which contain a lot more than events and activities, TellicoLife will not replace current club websites, but will supplement them by providing the ability to register and pay for club activities online.
For those who do not wish to register for events or make payments online, you can still sign up for events manually and pay by cash or check. What events and when the events are offered on TellicoLife is managed by each club.
What’s the timeline?
TellicoLife has purchased an association management system to power the website. The exploratory clubs are helping design and set up the initial website now.
TellicoLife will launch an initial production pilot in the second quarter of this year and run that pilot for about six months. During the pilot, participating clubs will continue to evaluate the capability of TellicoLife and phase in its use with a strategy and timeline that meets their needs.
TellicoLife is sponsored by the Tellico Village HomeOwners Association and branded for use across the community. The Tellico Village Property Owners Association has joined the project team to develop a point of view on how this capability could best be used by the POA.
We invite additional clubs and organizations to join TellicoLife after pilot success is assured.
