LOUDON — The Loudon County Leadership Class will celebrate the completion of a community service project benefiting athletes with disabilities during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon Saturday, Nov. 7, at Loudon Municipal Park.

Working with Loudon Parks and Recreation and Without Limits, an adaptive baseball program, class members are installing hat racks and dugout organizers at four ballfields to improve organization and accessibility for participating athletes.

The project is part of the Leadership Class’s efforts to strengthen the community through service and collaboration.

“This project is about much more than installing hat racks and organizers. It’s about investing in our community, supporting our athletes, and demonstrating what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared purpose.”

Class members will complete installation work from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Community members, local officials, business leaders and families are invited to attend the free event.

Without Limits, a program of the Loudon Diamond Club, provides adaptive baseball opportunities for individuals with disabilities ages 5 and older in Loudon County and surrounding communities.

The program offers modified gameplay and volunteer assistance to accommodate athletes of varying abilities. Participation is free.

The improvements at Loudon Municipal Park are intended to make the dugouts more organized and functional for athletes participating in the program.
