Get ready for an evening of Motown classics, soulful performances and live entertainment — all while supporting a meaningful cause and demonstrating the impact of one nonprofit helping another.
Nathan Chester & The Old Soul’s Motown Revival will perform on the Tellico Village Yacht Club Lakeside Stage, 100 Sequoyah Road, Loudon, on Sunday, June 28, at 7 p.m. The concert is presented by the Elite Tunes Series of Tellico Village, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing nationally recognized musical talent to the community while raising funds for local charities.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit Our PLACE Memory Day Center, the only licensed, independent 501©(3) nonprofit memory day center in East Tennessee dedicated exclusively to serving individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Located at 103 Cheeyo Way in Loudon, Our PLACE provides a structured day program featuring social engagement, therapeutic activities and compassionate care in a safe environment.
The organization also supports caregivers and families through respite services, support groups, education and community resources, creating what it calls “moments of joy” for those navigating the challenges of memory loss.
“Our PLACE fills a critical gap in the continuum of care by providing therapeutic engagement for participants and much-needed respite for caregivers,” said Our PLACE Board Chairman Rob McCoy. “These services help families remain together longer and often delay the need for institutional care. Since opening in 2022, we have provided more than 225,000 hours of care and caregiver respite. We are honored to be selected as an Elite Tunes charity partner and look forward to welcoming Nathan Chester to Tellico Village.”
The June 28 concert features vocalist Nathan Chester, a Chicago native whose passion for preserving the legacy of classic soul music has earned him national recognition.
Described on his website as “Motown-bred,” Chester gained widespread attention during Season 25 of NBC’s The Voice, where his performances propelled him to a top-four finish.
Backed by The Old Soul’s Motown Revival, Chester performs Motown favorites, soul classics and timeless hits from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson.
“We’re excited to come to Loudon and have a great time,” Chester said. “Because this concert benefits such a wonderful cause, it will definitely be one of our favorite events of the year.”
Like Our PLACE, the Elite Tunes Series is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization.
Founder Lee Brockman said he was inspired to launch the series through his friendship with The Voice Season 12 winner Chris Blue and by the views from the Tellico Village Yacht Club veranda.
His vision was to create a premier concert experience that brings exceptional entertainment to the community while generating meaningful support for local charities.
That vision has proven successful. The Nathan Chester concert marks Elite Tunes’ 12th event.
Since its founding, the organization has welcomed more than 5,000 guests and generated more than $50,000 for area nonprofits.
Elite Tunes will continue its charitable concert series throughout the year.
On Aug. 1, The Warman Trio will bring its 1950s sock hop show to the Tellico Village Yacht Club. The sold-out performance will benefit Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs, a nonprofit supporting infants and young children with disabilities, their families and the professionals who serve them.
Country music fans can look forward to a performance by Ashley Brooks on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. on the Yacht Club Lakeside Stage.
A two-time Georgia Female Country Artist of the Year, Brooks has opened for artists including Carly Pearce, Mark Chesnutt, Clay Walker, The Oak Ridge Boys and Aaron Tippin.
The concert will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee and its mission to combat hunger across the region.
The series concludes Dec. 19 with Kristen Brown, a top-20 finalist on Season 24 of The Voice.
Brown, who worked closely with Gwen Stefani and John Legend during the competition and has shared the stage with Toby Keith, Morgan Wallen and Rascal Flatts, will perform in support of the Loudon County Sheriff’s Toys for Tots campaign.
