The Art Guild will hold its last member meeting of the spring beginning with a social time 9:30-10 a.m. May 21 on the upper level of the Yacht Club, followed by a short business meeting and a program. Meetings resume Sept. 17.
Highlights of the May business meeting will include saying goodbye to the 2014-15 officers of the guild, voting on and welcoming new board officers for 2015-16 and hearing a report from Linda Johnson and Lil Clinard, co-chairwomen of the show, about the spring art show held May 1-3.
The program will feature the guild’s three class instructors: Lee Edge, drawing and watercolor; Dennis Sabo, digital photography; and Laurie Szilvagi, oil, watercolor and learning labs. Each instructor holds beginner and continuing classes typically in the fall, winter and spring at Chota Recreation Center. Information on the instructors and classes can be found at http://www.tellicoartguild.org.
Guild members, guests and individuals interested in joining are welcome to meetings, classes and workshops. The Art Guild is a 501(c)(3) association organized for the purpose of supporting and encouraging creativity in and appreciation and patronage of the visual arts through educational activities such as lectures, tours, workshops, classes and exhibits.
