First, talk a little about your background, whether that be within local government or in your professional career, and how it informs your ability to be a leader in your community.

34 Year retiree from Ford Motor Company Sales and Marketing, 23 Year resident of Tellico Village. Chief Tellico Village Fire Dept. 2004 to 2012, Loudon County Commissioner since 2014, Chairman since 2018.

What made you pursue this specific seat, or run for reelection in 2026? Why now?

I am running for reelection to continue to keep Loudon County a wonderful place to live.

What sets you apart from the candidates you’re currently running against, or makes you the best possible candidate for the seat you are pursuing?

My background, Record of accomplishment both for Tellico Village and the County, experience, leadership, and maturity.

In your opinion, what is the biggest issue facing the average Loudon County voter today, or the biggest issue facing your specific constituents?

Growth and infrastructure.

What’s your opinion on government spending, maybe highlighted by sectors of county operations the Commission could be spending more or less money on?

Since 2014, as Vice Chairman and Budget Committee member, I’ve helped maintain tight spending controls in Loudon County. We’ve increased the fund balance and supported department growth for the rising population while keeping taxes steady, except for schools. This includes 8 out 9 clean audits which is exceedingly rare in Tennessee.

How do you plan to handle growth within this community, as Loudon County continues to see a spike in its population?

Controlled growth with sensible zoning. The citizens told us loud and clear they do not want Loudon County to become another Farragut or Hardin Valley.
