As you may already know, Summit Medical Group and the Tellico Village Property Owners Association have partnered to bring the excellence and convenience of a Summit primary care practice to Tellico Village residents and the local community.
Both parties have been working diligently to make sure everything comes together in a timely manner. The lease agreement has been signed, and last week the construction loan was closed. The construction contract has been signed and all permits have been approved from Loudon County to begin the project.
Summit will be breaking ground as early as next week. Hopefully, the beautiful weather we have been having will continue and the project can get off to a great start. This project has been some time in the making, and we are so pleased with the support we have received throughout the Village.
We appreciate your patience, concerns and questions as we have worked through the process to bring Tellico Village yet another wonderful amenity. We will continue to ask for patience as construction begins and will continue for the next several months. This is truly an exciting time for all.
We would like to invite you to stop by the Welcome Center to view the floor plans, renderings and a layout of the facility. We will do our best to answer your questions to the best of our ability.
Summit will be providing comprehensive primary care at the Tellico Village location, offering digital X-rays, physical therapy, specialty service partners and lab services.
Summit will be offering some urgent care services but not all emergency services. They will see patients with the following issues at the Tellico Village suites: urinary tract infection, stomach issues and mild abdominal pain, broken bones (but not compound fractures), minor stitches, mild chest pain and minor head bumps.
The following issues are usually referred to an emergency room: compound fractures, victims of auto accidents, significant bleeding resulting in the need for more than minor stitching, severe chest pain, extreme abdominal pain and head trauma.

One of the many reasons that Summit has been so successful over the years is due to the extensive monitoring of their services. They have assured us they will monitor Tellico Village operations and make needed adjustments. If there is a great need for certain specialty physicians or equipment, Summit will assess the situation and make the best decision for patients of Tellico Village.
As they assess our needs, they will also be looking at and evaluating the best hours and times of day for treatment. If there is a demand for extended hours or weekend hours, Summit will accommodate those needs.
Summit estimates more than 1,000 current property owners use their services already for primary care. Under no circumstances does Summit expect its clients to change from their current physician. They simply want to make it more convenient for you to use their services.
We look forward to updating you on a regular basis. Your continued support is appreciated.
