LOUDON, Tenn. — River Grove Health and Rehabilitation has announced the grand opening of Affinity for HER, which is described in a press release as “a specialized female-only memory care unit designed to provide compassionate, personalized care for women living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
“This exciting addition to our facility will be officially unveiled on Thursday, March 20, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at our location in Loudon at 1520 Grove St.”
According to the release, the grand opening event will offer a unique opportunity for the community to learn about the innovative services and nurturing environment provided within the Affinity for HER memory care unit.
Guests will be able to tour the newly designed space, meet with the facility’s expert care team “and enjoy a relaxing evening with wine and hors d’oeuvres.”
“Affinity for HER is tailored to meet the unique needs of women experiencing memory loss, ensuring that they receive the utmost care in a secure and stimulating environment,” according to the press release. “With specialized programming, enriching activities and a dedicated trained team, Affinity for HER provides a home-like atmosphere where women can thrive while maintaining their dignity and independence.”
“We are so excited to open Affinity for HER and provide a dedicated space where women can receive the care they deserve,” said Jo Lewton, Regional Director of Operations of River Grove Health and Rehabilitation. “This unit was designed with the understanding that women often experience memory care needs differently, and we wanted to create a place that not only supports their medical needs but also nurtures their emotional well-being.”
The event is free and open to the public, and River Grove Health and Rehabilitation encourages members of the community, healthcare professionals and families to attend and experience first-hand the compassionate care provided by Affinity for HER.
