LOUDON — The Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) now has a new physical therapy location in Loudon that is open to the public.
The new location provides patients with rehabilitation from different injuries and surgeries. It can also help those who need pain management and help those who have mobility limitations.
In a press release from the TOA, the organization’s East Tennessee market president, Jeff McPherson, talked about the new location opening in Loudon.
“Expanding our physical therapy services into Loudon allows us to provide patients with high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation closer to home,” said McPherson. “Our goal is to help patients regain strength, restore mobility and confidently return to the activities that matter most to them.”
The TOA has a physical therapy location in Lenoir City, this made getting to the facility tough at times for those who are Loudon residents. As McPherson stated, having this new Loudon location makes getting treatment easier for those all around Loudon County.
More on why Loudon is a great spot for the TOA, golf simulator included
Besides easier access, there are some other reasons for why Loudon is a great fit for a new TOA physical therapy location.
The TOA’s director for physical therapy in East Tennessee and physical therapist Robb Seahorn talked about some of those other reasons.
“Our Lenoir City office has been a mainstay for our group,” Seahorn said. “However, it really had grown past capacity. This location also allows us to serve the Tellico and Sweetwater communities as well.”
Seahorn will work along side physical therapist Aaron Kendall in designing clear plans for each patient one-on-one for their recovery.
The TOA physical therapy facility in Loudon also contains a golf simulator. This is to help patients and therapists incorporate real sports movement into recovery.
The simulator is appropriate considering Loudon is littered with golf courses throughout it such as Tennessee National, Tanasi, and Toqua.
“The purpose of the golf simulator is for performance assessment,” Seahorn stated. “It is also just for recovery post injury to provide more sophisticated evaluations of performance.”
