Itty Bitty, Cassie and Johnni are the featured pets of the week at Monroe County Animal Shelter.

Itty Bitty, Cassie and Johnni are three of 14 cats from one owner. His health is declining and he is slowly surrendering them to the shelter so that the shelter may find them new homes before he goes into assisted living. All of his cats are altered and have received regular veterinary care and the love of their owner. All are litter box proficient. These three cats came in on June 11 and are in a bit of shock that their old life is gone, but little bits of their personalities are already showing through.

Itty Bitty is a handsome, 1-year-old silver and gray tabby. He is a bit shy but curious about all that is going on. He has been in a multi-cat household so he has good social manners but would do just fine on his own.

Cassie is a 7-year-old orange and white tabby, while Johnni is a 7-year-old flame point Siamese mix. Both are bonded girls who so far have been lovely in all of their behaviors. Johnni is a bit more shy than Cassie and the shelter thinks that will change once they are back in a loving home environment. Cassie wants to know what is going on at all times and is determined. Johnni is still warming up. She enjoys strokes and scratches but hasn’t yet started to actively seek affection. They need to go home together and a special adoption rate will apply.
