The Public Library at Tellico Village will present a series of movie nights through Sept. 30 in the library courtyard.

The second movie in the series, “Building Wonders of the Coliseum,” will be shown at 8 p.m. May 27. The movie investigates the engineering mysteries of the ancient world with the help of dramatic hands-on experiments.

Modern architects examine how the Romans built the Colosseum so they could reenact naval battles and stage spectacles involving hundreds of gladiators and wild animals. The DVD is 60 minutes long.

Those who participate may get popcorn and soda for a small donation to the library.
