Columbus ship coming
The Pinta, a replica of Christopher Columbus’ famous ship, will be docked 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 24-Oct. 11 at Fort Loudon Marina, 5200 City Park Drive, Lenoir City. While in port, visitors are encouraged to walk around the ship. Admission is $6.50 per adult, $6 for seniors 60 and up and $5.50 for students ages 5-16. Children 4 and under are free.
TVVFD open house
Tellico Village Volunteer Fire Department, 210 Chota Road, Loudon, will have an open house 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 2 at the station. Hamburgers, bratwurst, hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks will be provided while visiting neighbors and volunteer firefighters.
Walk to Remember
The second annual Walk to Remember is set for 9-10 a.m. Oct. 9 at First Baptist Church in Tellico Village. All proceeds will equip important programs for Our PLACE, including exercise equipment, audio-visual, sound system, music memory needs and therapy games.
