Charles Daniel “Dan” Sprich, 88, of Tellico Village, departed this earth May 4, 2020, for his heavenly home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is reunited with his bride, Enid, whom he married in 1955.
Born April 16, 1932, Dan is survived by his children, Jim (Val), Bob (Katie) and Deb (Karon); grandchildren, Steve and Rachel; brother, Tom (Tina); nephew, Tom; niece, Leslie (Paul); and special dinner companion, Trisha.
Dan proudly served his country as a first lieutenant in the Air Force. He also earned his pilot wings and served on the flight crew aboard a B-36 Peacemaker.
Dan made many friends in his 88 years through his work and his love for both golf and volunteering. His volunteering stayed with him to the end as he assisted other residents at Covenant Village fill out their 2020 Census.
Dan will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Fort Custer National Cemetery during a private family service. A celebration of life will be held at Covenant Village at a later date. Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes in Grand Rapids, Mich., is handling arrangements.
As an avid golfer and longtime organizer of various golf events in Tellico Village, Dan would be grateful to anyone who wishes to donate in his name to the Toqua Beautification Committee. The annual golf outing for this was recently canceled due to the pandemic. If you would like to make a donation, please send it to Toqua Beautification Committee 206 Chogi Lane, Loudon, TN 37774.
