Lenora Marie Hetzner Fleischman, 90, passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, in Lenoir City.
She was known as a kind person with a positive attitude and deep faith. Lenora’s interests included landscape painting, Bible studies and singing.
Lenora was born and grew up in Baltimore, Md. Married in 1951, she and her husband moved to Oak Ridge, where they raised three daughters. Before retiring, she was a secretary at the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge.
Upon remarrying in 1986, Lenora moved back to Baltimore. Widowed in 2011, she moved to Apex, N.C., to be near family. In 2014, she relocated to Knoxville, and then Loudon in 2018.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Hilda Hetzner; first husband, William Fleischman; and second husband, Joseph Fleischman.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Gaye and Bob Williams of Loudon; daughter, Lynn Dessenberger of Apex, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Janne and Don Lady of Las Cruces, N.M.; two step-children, Joanne Reese of Baltimore, Md., and Thomas Fleischman of North Canton, Ohio; one grandchild, Marc Dessenberger of Apex, N.C.; and four step-grandchildren, Holly Morgan, Cory Fleischman, Joseph Fleischman and Marianna Fleischman.
No service or funeral is planned at this time. The family requests no flowers but please consider a donation to Our PLACE, a planned adult day center in Tellico Village for seniors with dementia.
