James Arnold Bush, 83, of Tellico Village, passed away July 12, 2021, after a difficult battle with congestive heart failure.
Jim was born Nov. 19, 1937, to Charles and Ruth Bush of Port Huron, Mich. Jim lost his mother when he was just 5 years old, and he faced many obstacles during his childhood as a result. Overcoming them all, he graduated from Port Huron High School in 1956 and served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1956-60. He and his wife, Pat, were married in 1963 and had three children. Jim worked as an engineer for Ford Motor for 30 years and retired to Tellico Village in 1998.
Waiting to greet him as he arrived in heaven were his wife of 32 years, Pat Bush; parents, Charles Bush, Ruth Bush and stepmother, Elsie Bush; brother, Don Bush; and other friends and loved ones.
Left to grieve his passing are his partner, Elfie Wechselberger; three children, Sherry (Jim) Konczal, Tammy Goulding (Keith Coultes) and Charlie (Jenna) Bush; and grandchildren, Saylor (Maghan) Goulding, Jesse (Heidi) Goulding, Jozie Konczal, Trish Konczal, Aleisha Adams, Ashlea Adams, Courtney Coultes, Kirk Konczal, Kayla Coultes, Kyle Bush and Courtnie Bush.
A proud and humble man, Jim had an incredible work ethic that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be greatly missed.
His family will hold an internment service at 11 a.m. July 24, 2021, at the Community Church of Tellico Village with a celebration of life to follow at the Yacht Club in Tellico Village.
