In loving memory of Harvey Lee Hall Jr., of Tellico Village, who passed away April 1, 2021, in Knoxville.
Harvey was born Oct. 27, 1933, in Baltimore, Md., to Harvey L. Hall Sr. and Margaret Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Margaret; and two younger brothers, David and Douglas Hall, who he rejoins in heaven.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Betty Hall; son, Arthur Hall; daughter-in-law, Nancy S. Hall; two grandsons, Brandon and Tyler Hall; and many family, friends and acquaintances that will miss him dearly.
Prior to retirement, Harvey was the security director at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU APL), the nation’s largest university-affiliated research center, in Laurel, Md. Harvey was an Army veteran, who received his honorable discharge in 1959. He attained his Bachelor of Science in industrial management in 1962 from the University of Baltimore and went on to work at JHU APL in 1963. After Harvey and his wife retired in 1996, they moved from Ellicott City, Md., to Tellico Village and made it their home. The move allowed him to enjoy his favorite activities and time with his brother-in-law, Joe Spence, and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Charlotte Brown. Harvey actively participated in many aspects of the community and enjoyed many hours on the lake. Harvey was an avid outdoor enthusiast, hunter and boater in his early years. He was also a big organ aficionado and player and attended many associated conferences and gatherings. Harvey was an active member of the Community Church at Tellico Village for over 20 years.
