Macon H. Davis Jr., 77, of Tellico Village, passed away peacefully at home April 30, 2020, surrounded by his family.
Born Nov. 17, 1942, to Macon and Mildred Davis Sr. in Brownsville, he worked at Ford Motor Company as a tool and die maker in the Chicago, Ill., area for more than 15 years.
He later moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where he was manager of machine shop for Northwest Airlines, which is now Delta Airlines. He retired from Delta in 2004, spending time with family and friends on the pontoon boat and playing golf. He was a member of First Baptist Church Concord in Farragut.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judy; sons, Scott and Todd (Denise); grandchildren, Gina and Garrett Davis; brother, Dan (Colleen); mother, Mildred Davis; and beloved, grand dog, Sadie.
Cremation Options is serving the family at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to University of Tennessee Hospice Promise Foundation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
