Tree lighting

The Tellico Village Christmas tree lighting in Village Square is 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Charlie Barnard, pastor of First Baptist Church in Tellico Village, and fellow Village ministers will lead the celebration with stories and carol singing. A canned good donation for Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County is encouraged. Face masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged.

A story in the Nov. 18 edition of The Connection, “Village Quilters honor Habitat veterans,” contained an error regarding the quilts given to veterans who volunteer with Loudon County Habitat for Humanity. The correct name is Quilts of Valor.
