The story follows Doc Nash, who had a successful medical career, but after losing his wife decided to return to his country home in Baynesville, Va. He opened a medical clinic where residents of his childhood hometown would be able to receive free medical care.

With only a Johnny-on-the-spot nurse and a bumbling receptionist by his side, the clinic becomes a vital part of the close-knit rural community.

The clinic was supported by funds from local government and private donations, but because of cuts in funding and a dip in the economy, the clinic struggled financially.

With a stack of unpaid bills and no money in the bank, the future of the little clinic looks bleak. But God has other plans when a homeless patient changes the clinic forever.
