Peter David Knickerbocker, 79, of Pine Plains, N.Y., passed away Jan. 23, 2019, in Madisonville.

Born March 26, 1939, to the late Ralph and Anna Bryan Knickerbocker, Pete attended Dutchess Community College, served in the Army reserves and was a salesman by trade.

Pete is survived by his wife, June Lund; children, David Smallwood, Joanne Smallwood, Carey Greene and Amy Darling; brother, Cal Knickerbocker; sister, Betsy Hess; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pete was an avid sportsman and loved playing golf, fishing, baseball, basketball and softball. He had a warm, fun-loving personality, was always joking and talked to everyone. His years "on the road" won him friends all over New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Pete and June moved to Tennessee, where they enjoyed spending time with friends and family in retirement.
